Kasey Heffley: Ambition and Abandonment

Okay so Kasey is honestly one of the most tragic characters in Clover Chaos even tho shes the rival. Like yeah shes obsessed with the pocketwatch and world conquest but ngl theres way more going on.

First off—Mark is her dad and hes a total manipulator. He doesnt actually care about her. He literally raised her to be a weapon for his plans, got her trapped in the Theaneb dimension, and was willing to sacrifice her for his own recognition. So Kasey's need for power? Its not just about ego. Its about proving shes worth something, proving she matters more than whatever her dads using her for. The pocketwatch isnt just an object of desire, its like... proof that shes important, that shes in control of something.

And then theres Valentina. Her former best friend. Ngl we dont get the full story of what happened between them in Phase 1 but you can tell Kasey feels abandoned. Valentina chose to protect the world, chose the "hero" path. Meanwhile Kasey got trapped in another dimension. So shes kinda stuck oscillating between wanting revenge and wanting to matter.

Tbh I think Kasey wants to be acknowledged. Not necessarily loved—just seen. Her dad saw her as a tool. Valentina left. The pocketwatch at least responds to her. Its sorta sad when you think about it. She's not evil, just really lonely and desperate for any kind of control or recognition.
