But heres the thing that makes her tragic: Valentina was her best friend. Valentina chose to leave her behind and work with the good guys instead. So Kasey's not just fighting for the pocketwatch, shes fighting bc she got abandoned. Shes angry at the world and at Valentina specifically. The conquest stuff, the chaos—its kinda like lashing out bc nobody picked her side.

And then theres her dad, Mark. Hes literally willing to sacrifice his own daughter for his weird inventor ego. So Kasey grew up with a parent who didnt even value her. No wonder shes so desperate to prove herself and take control of everything. She wants power bc nobody ever gave her love or respect.
