okay so ngl, mark heffley is actually the main villain of clover chaos phase 1, not kasey. everyone's focused on her pocketwatch obsession, but mark is orchestrating everything from the shadows. he shows up in episode 2 as the creepy "Crazy Father" neighbor and it turns out he invented the stargazer device ON PURPOSE. he literally wanted to tear reality apart and knew exactly what he was doing.

kasey wants world domination or whatever, but mark? he doesn't care about power at all. he just wants recognition and will destroy literally anything—including his own daughter—to get it. he traps kasey in the theaneb dimension. that's not bad parenting, that's sociopath level.
