okay so pat is literally just some random kid who found a magical pocketwatch in 2018 and had NO idea what he was doing. he wasnt trained or brave or anything — he was mostly just panicking and trying not to die. but somehow his total chaos mode ended up being one of the only things stopping mark heffley from destroying montreal. wild right??

the best part is pat never actually CHOSE to be a hero?? everything just happened by accident. hed mess with the pocketwatch trying to fix his own problems and suddenly the whole situation would explode. hed rewind time, jump between timelines, accidentally block mark's plans while desperately trying to save kasey from the theaneb dimension. none of it was on purpose but it all mattered so much.

plus pat didnt do it alone. sarah was there being anxious but loyal af. matthew was there too being grumpy and loyal. valentina kept warning them about the stargazer while they fought mark and got absolutely destroyed for it. when phase 1 ended matthew was just... gone. that was the cost of winning.

pat's real superpower wasnt magic — it was just refusing to give up on his friends even when terrified and clueless. in a show with robots and interdimensional gates, that matters way more than anything else.
